How we engineer. Written for the people who sign it off.
Security, data residency and testing in the AI systems we engineer in Dubai. For your CTO, your CISO and your regulator: where the data lives, how an agent is allowed to act, how every release is tested on your own cases, and what operating looks like after go-live.
Where your data lives
The boundary is drawn before the first line of code. Your systems of record stay yours and stay where they are; the AI reads them through permissioned tools and writes back only where you allow it.

Dashed boxes are yours and stay where they are. The solid box is the region named in the agreement: in-country cloud, sovereign infrastructure or your own premises. A data-processing agreement names every sub-processor before work begins.
The reference architecture
EVALUATION · OBSERVABILITY · HUMAN OVERSIGHT · AUDIT LOG
Architecture.
Models reason; your systems of record stay the source of truth. Agents act only through typed, permissioned tools on your APIs, with the access rights of the staff role they support. Knowledge comes from retrieval over approved sources, and every answer traces to its document. We stay model-agnostic, so a model can be replaced without rebuilding the system.
Security.
Untrusted content, whether an email, a web page or a customer message, is treated as data, never as instructions. We test for prompt injection before release and after every change. Secrets live in managed vaults, never in code or logs. Tenant and role isolation is enforced at the data layer, and every agent action is written to an audit log.
Data residency.
Where your data may be processed is decided at design time, not discovered later. We deploy in in-country cloud regions, on sovereign infrastructure or on-premise, with open-weight models where data must not leave your environment. A data-processing agreement names every sub-processor before work begins.
Evaluation.
Before we build, we build the test: an evaluation set drawn from your own cases, with pass thresholds your business owner agrees. Every release is scored for task success, groundedness, correct escalation, latency and cost per task. A change that lowers a score does not ship.
LLMOps.
Prompts, models, tools and evaluation sets are versioned together and released in stages, with rollback. Every conversation and task is traced end to end. Cost is metered per task, channel and business unit, with alerts on drift in quality, cost or behaviour.
Human oversight.
Every agent says it is an AI. Handover is designed, not improvised: defined triggers pass a conversation to a named team with its full context. Actions with financial, legal or clinical weight wait for a person’s approval.
Governance.
Each system enters an AI register with its owner, purpose, risk assessment, tests and incidents, built to support what the rules that apply to you require: the Central Bank’s AI guidance for financial institutions¹, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s Responsible AI Standard² and the Dubai Health Authority’s AI policy³ for healthcare, and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law⁴, applied with your legal advisers. Nothing reaches production without review by someone who did not build it.
What operating looks like
The part of the work that most proposals leave out, and the reason a system is still running a year later.
What we watch.
- Quality: task success and groundedness, scored on a sample of real conversations every week
- Latency, by channel and by step
- Cost per task, per channel and per business unit
- Escalation rate, and the reasons behind each handover
What we re-test on every change.
- Every model, prompt, tool or data change runs the full evaluation set before it ships
- Arabic and English quality are reviewed separately
- A worse score does not ship; a release can be rolled back in minutes
What the monthly review covers.
- The targets agreed at the start, against the month’s numbers
- Where the agent handed over and why, and what to teach it next
- Cost, and where it can come down
- The next use case, if there is one
Who you call.
A named engineer who knows your system, with an agreed service level and an alert that reaches a person before your customers notice.
